Welcome to Ms. Pacheco's Web Page!

Dear Students and Parents:

Thanks for visiting my web page. I have been teaching at Diamond Bar High School since 1999. At this time, I teach English II and English III. However, I have also taught English III Honors/IB, English I,  English I Honors, English Language Development-- all levels, and Remedial Reading. In 2007, I was awarded the distinguished title of Communication Arts Teacher of the Year. Currently, I also serve as the club adviser for the Girls' League of Diamond Bar High School, an organization that is dedicated to serving the community through its charitable acts. In 2010-11, Girls' League was recognized as club of the year for its philanthropy, and I am proud to say the United Student Body elected me club advisor of the year in 2011-12.

I received my education at Occidental College (a private, liberal arts school) in Eagle Rock, California, where I obtained my Masters in Teaching in English and a bachelor's degree in English and Comparative Literary Studies-- with an emphasis on American literature. This is the same Occidental College that President Barack Obama attended for two years prior to transferring to Harvard University.

Let me close by telling you that I have always aspired to be a high school English teacher, and I am now living that dream out on a daily basis. I can assure you that I will approach the task of teaching my students with zeal and determination, and I will give 100% to my efforts in the classroom!

Sincerely,

Ms. Pacheco
